Mind the gap

With the cruck frames erected another problem with the beams has become apparent. None of the inner flanges are in contact with the plinth wall plate. Each one will have to be packed - 24 in total. Typically the gap is circa 10mm. Vision told us that the rib beams as built did not cater for the fall between the inner and outer leaves of the plinth wall. The two guys that Vision sent to rectify the errors with the rib beams cut the beams to also incorporate the fall. The 10mm gap corresponds to the height of the fall so It would seem that it HAD been catered for all along and now it was incorporated again.
