No, not yet but we are making steady progress. Having only a very modest budget always meant that we would have to do most of the work ourselves and designing, planning and learning and executing new skills takes time. There is still quite a bit outstanding. Here is our to do list:

  • architrave, stops and furniture to all doors.

  • floor trims

  • complete the plastering

  • box in cables and waste pipes

  • refurbish freestanding kitchen units

  • install kitchen

  • install ventilation system

  • fit guarding to upper storey windows

  • finish staircase

  • construct dwarf walls around stair void

  • connect bedroom wall above kitchen void to curtain window frame - somehow

  • install windows in bedroom wall over kitchen void

  • casings to internal windows

  • install smoke alarms

  • second fit electrics

  • much silicon sealing!

  • cat 6 cabling throughout

  • install surveillance system

  • install satellite cabling

  • built-in cupboards

  • plant room plasterboard to ceiling and box in above and below consumer unit

  • decorating

  • major cleanup

  • move from the grungelow into the house

  • demolish grungelow

  • construct surface water drainage system
