The heat (pump) is on

Hot water (for domestic use and underfloor heating) will be provided by an air-source heat pump topped up by an electric immersion heater.

The air-source heat pump has been installed by H2-ecO. H2-ecO are the company that installed the Solar PV panels a few months back. In a test the air-source heat pump successfully heated the water in the tank. We're looking forward to second fit plumbing being completed and seeing hot water coming out of the taps. Our plumber has been busy on other jobs and is going away on holiday soon but hopefully he will finish in late June.

We cannot test the underfloor heating system at the present time as there is no power to the thermostat control. Power won't be available to the unit until second fit electrics are complete, hopefully in 2 -3 months time.

Copper pipe connecting the heat pump to the UFH manifold.

The white cylinder is for the pump to use during a defrost cycle.
