The WOW factor

Folks in the Lower Longbottom stretch of the road know all about our project but the rest of the Cologne Road community have not noticed us - until now.

There is only one road into and out of the estate. As you round the bend the cruck frame appears right in front of you. A definite WOW moment. We're unmissable.

The word on the street is that some very religious people are building a church in their back garden! Lots of complete strangers have stopped for a look and to ask what we are doing (quite often at inopportune moments). Even the local community bus driver got off the bus (it was empty at the time) for a chat. He too had been told it was a church. The bus has been spotted slowing down as it goes around the bend to allow its passengers, mostly elderly residents from the top of the road, to check out progress.
