Straps and restraints

Straight strapping has been fixed from the rib flange over the plinth wall plate and down to the plinth wall itself to provide vertical restraint (don't want the roof taking off!). Externally there is stainless steel strapping on every rib flange. Internally alternate rib flanges have galvanised steel strapping.
Bent strapping secures the plinth wall plate to the plinth wall and provides horizontal restraint (don't want the plate to slide off the wall).
Pro. tip: hold the strapping against the wall and spray paint over the holes to mark the position of drill holes on the wall.
