Most of our wet and windy weather comes from the south west so it's the western end of the building that we have concentrated on protecting up first.

The cruck frame is still braced against the bungalow roof and will be until we finish installing the first floor so waterproof, breathable membrane was fixed around the bracing timber as best we could to keep the rain from coming in through the window void.

We also have a temporary front door made out of OSB. The ground floor window voids have been left uncovered - at the moment you need to put your hand through the window to be able to open the door.
So what weather do we have at the present? Strong winds from the east - currently our least protected end!
