Reaching the summit

With the tarps off Mark and Lew were able to get up on the roof to secure the final straw bales; fill the gaps along the ridge with rammed loose straw and fix fillets to the apex of the cruck frames to create the necessary angle for the roof tiles.

Alarmingly an ambulance decided to wait for its next call out in the entrance to the old middle school opposite us where they had a good view of the boys on the roof!
