Battened down

Last week we had more rain accompanied by gales so the strawbales got another soaking. The tilers were here for two days during which they got the battens on although the battens are only half nailed.

The tiles failed to arrive on Tuesday. Half of them were delivered on Friday afternoon and the rest are promised for tomorrow morning. We're hoping that the tilers will be back on site early this week. The forecast is for dry weather so fingers crossed that we will have a fully tiled roof before we get any more significant rainfall.
