Whilst we await the arrival of the windows (3 - 4 months) we decided to crack on with installation of the floor insulation, underfloor heating and screed only to discover that there are extended lead times for delivery of PIR insulation. This is the result of a shortage of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (“MDI”) which is the main constituent of PIR insulation. I placed an order for 150mm thick EcoTherm Eco-Versal General Purpose Insulation just over a week ago and, fingers crossed, hopefully it will be delivered by the end of the month..
