Stairway to heaven (temporary)

We picked up an unused whitewood and mdf staircase on eBay. The company that manufactured it had made it the wrong size! We couldn't use the staircase long term as it is steeper than allowed by the building regulations. Also it has a kite at the top while we require ours at the bottom. However it will do us temporarily and will make it much easier to transport materials and tools between the two floors.

It needed some 'tailoring' to make it fit and, as it was heavy once assembled, some assistance from Mark B, Mark P and Lew to raise it into position.

Our intention is that this staircase will be in place up until almost the end of the build. As it is only temporary it won't be the end of the world if it gets the odd knock or splatter of paint.
